Matthew Azoulay

Matthew Azoulay concentrates his practice in the acquisition, development (including land use and zoning matters), leasing and disposition of commercial, retail, industrial, redevelopment, affordable housing, hotel/hospitality, self-storage, residential and mixed-use projects.

In addition, he provides outside general counsel services and advice to start-up, mid-sized and large national and international organizations in regard to general corporate matters and the purchase and sale of businesses. Specifically, Mr. Azoulay advises both public and closely-held companies in mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, private equity offerings, financings, and other complex corporate and commercial transactions. He also represents start-up companies in connection with formation and organizational issues, negotiation of shareholder agreements, limited liability company and partnership agreements, venture capital financings and private equity offerings. In addition, he counsels business owners and investors on the resolution of shareholder disputes and the negotiation of business divorce transactions.

Mr. Azoulay represents lenders and borrowers in connection with loan and other complex financing transactions. Additionally, his clients include national restaurant chains, hotels and local business owners in Alcoholic Beverage Control (liquor) license transactions and regulatory compliance matters in New Jersey.

He received his J.D., with honors, from Widener University School of Law, and his B.A. from Syracuse University. He is admitted to practice in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
